Adriel's PINK Birthday
When I told Adriel that she could have some friends come over and play for her birthday she was so excited. She said, "and they wear birthday hats?" So she wore her birthday hat all during breakfast.Dallyn and Brooklee loved the idea, too.
She got to blow out candles on her pink cupcake with her friends...
(as soon as someone walked in the door she would ask them if they wanted a birthday hat. Trevin was happy to comply.)
...and that night when Daddy was home.
For dinner we had pink sourdough bread, pink potato soup, and pink pears. As toppings for the soup I had cheese and green onion and so I gave some cheese to the babies. Dallyn pointed to the onion so I gave her a tiny slice, and she actually ate it. AND WANTED MORE! (and more, and more...weird kid.)
This was the first birthday that she was old enough to anticipate and understand. It was really fun for me to plan it out and see her enjoy what was going on.
The girls are eating their pink cupcakes and homemade pink (raspberry) ice cream. (Although Brooklee didn't like it--it must have been too cold for her!)

How fun?! Great ideas!! And is that Auntie Ashley on the webcam??? Too bad we all couldn't attend the "pink" party!!!
mmm the sourdough bread looks good. You are a good mom for doing everything pink.
Carson doesn't like ice cream either! Too bad.
haha, I didn't notice Ashley on the webcam til I saw what Salem said. She's making the same face as Adriel in the picture!
Oh, and has Adriel read the book Pinkalicious?
What a perfectly pink success! I cna't believe how big they are all getting. How fun!
You are so creative!!! How fabulous! Your kids are getting so big. I'm totally jealous of the twins' independence. Aaron has a ways to go. He's a mama's boy and demands a lot from me--- I'm still feeding him etc. It's frustrating. Hope you guys are well!
